Your data
Who we are
Our site address is: https://www.teamwbc.nl.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent. This helps us detect spam (we don’t like that either, after all).
An anonymised string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service if you use it. You can find Gravatar’s privacy policy at automattic.com. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.
Media
If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, please make sure they do not contain EXIF GPS location data. We like to protect your privacy, so please check those files before uploading them.
Cookies
When you leave a comment on our site, you can specify whether your name, e-mail address and site may be stored in a cookie. This is for your convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter these details every time you leave a new comment. These cookies remain valid for one year (convenient, right?).
When you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is stored to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted as soon as you close your browser.
When logging in, we store some cookies related to your login information and screen display options. Login cookies are valid for 2 days, cookies for screen display options for 1 year. If you select ‘Remember me’, your login will be stored for 2 weeks. As soon as you log out, the login cookies are deleted.
When you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie is stored. It contains no personal data and is intended only for the post ID of the article you edited. This cookie expires after one day.
Embedded content from other sites
Posts on this site may contain embedded content, such as videos, images or other media. This embedded content behaves as if you were visiting the original site.
These third-party sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with embedded content, including if you have an account and are logged into that site. Fascinating, isn’t it?
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. (We only share what is strictly necessary, promise).
How long we keep your data
When you leave a comment, we keep that comment and its metadata forever. We do this so that follow-up comments are automatically recognised and approved, without additional moderation.
For users who register on our site, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time, with the exception of username. Site administrators can also view and edit this information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an export file of the personal data we hold about you. This file contains all the data you have provided to us. You can also request to delete this data completely, except for data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes. And rest assured, we are here to help you.
Where we send your data
Comments from visitors may be monitored through an automated spam detection service. (That sounds like a big mouthful, but it helps us keep your experience enjoyable).
That’s it, then. Have you read all this? Then you now get a virtual – yet heartfelt – smile from the author of this page.
